McComb Street is a well-established street evidenced by several picket fences and a lych gate.
A modern lych gate is set into a tall brush fence. There were also some older wooden fences.
Bottlebrush bushes and trees are at their flowering peak and many examples were admired and photographed.
There are countless varieties of roses, making it difficult to positively identify individual specimens. Occasionally a variety is positively identified, such as the brilliant red mountain rose.
Many birds were seen. Two spotted doves with one transferring to a TV aerial for better reception.
A single noisy miner was perched overhead.
A wattle bird landed on a nearby overhead wire before heading skywards.
Several birds of paradise flowers were seen. These colourful flowers always stand out in gardens.
The dead nettle plant is a native of Europe and Asia was a new sighting as was the small white flax lily.
Lawn daisies are still appearing on lawns and other daisies in gardens.
Fuchsia flowers are a unique flower and are very attractive.
McComb Street is tree-lined and a walk along the two footpaths can give an almost country feel.
Some garden ornaments looked almost abandoned.
Some colourful pelargoniums brightened up several gardens.
The salvia hot lips are a fascinating plant. The flowers can be all white, all red or a combination of both in the form of hot lips.
McComb Street is an interesting walk.
