is a spacious reserve located on Sydney's northern beaches, with Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park on the opposite side. A drive to McCarrs Creek is along the picturesque Pittwater, with stunning views of the water, cafes and marinas.

The reserve is a quiet place and offers an ideal location to relax on a lazy Sunday. There are no cafes, so bring food, and drinks and for those wishing to cook lunch wood BBQs are available. Some wood is provided, however if you are planning to use the BBQs, it's a good idea to bring your own BBQ heat beads, newspapers and matches/lighters.

Shade is provided by fig and gum trees throughout the reserve. It is a great place for swimming with still shallow water, making it ideal for kids who are not strong swimmers.

Although there are no playgrounds at the reserve, you will find plenty of open grassy areas, where children can play ball games, throw a frisbee or play hide and seek.

McCarrs Creek is an ideal fishing spot, and is often overlooked by fishermen. There are many types of fish in Pittwater including Bream, Flathead, Whiting, Tailor, Salmon and Kingfish and you can always catch something no matter what time of year.

Metered parking is available from 6am to 9pm or if travelling by public transport catch the E86, 155 or 156.

Other places to explore in the area include Clareville Beach & Picnic Area (Delecta Avenue, Clareville), Florence Park (Prince Alfred Parade, Bilgola Plateau) Winnererremy Bay Foreshore Reserve (Mona Street, Mona Vale) and Scotland Island.
