I am a keen traveller. Currently rediscovering my own backyard and the rest of Australia. I enjoy nature, history and the quirkiness of what the world has to offer.

Brew with a view
Sometimes Sydney can be a whirlwind of places to see, shopping and of course, iconic Sydney sites and you just want to sit down, have something to eat and drink and admire the view. Well, the MCA Cafe at Museum of Contemporary Art Australia is the place for you to unwind, relax and recharge with a light lunch or cake and drink.
Whilst visiting the gallery, I overheard other visitors talking about the cafe on the rooftop. "Hmm, sounds good," I thought so I headed up to level 4 to rooftop MCA Cafe and Sculpture Terrace the and wasn't disappointed. I was stunned by the view that the rooftop cafe offers. Fortunately, I had a table at the harbour side of the cafe. I watched ferries come and go as I sipped on my tea and nibbled at the delicious orange and bee pollen cake. The Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House were in clear view and a fantastic backdrop as other diners took selfies. I could have stayed there all day looking at the view but thought someone else can have the same experience.
MCA Cafe does not take reservations. Opening hours of the MCA Cafe. Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday and Sunday 10am – 4pm (last orders at 3.30pm), Friday 10am – 9pm (last orders 8.30pm).
