Bazaar - not Bizarre
If you visit the row of shops on First Avenue, Bongaree, Bribie Island, you will find some interesting places. There are plenty of great little spots to spend your dollars — a café, fashion, garden plants and more. One great spot to buy inexpensive beach fashions, gifts of all sorts, and home furnishings is Mayyada Bazaar, which started out back in 2005.
As you enter the store, you'll explore the motivational type gifts, perhaps the beach inspired shell and sea items on display, or perhaps the quirky gifts will tempt you. There's so much to survey. Up a few steps and you will find an array of beachwear for both males and females. There a re way too many items to list here.
The Bazaar is actually on three levels, with a staircase, almost disguised, at the side of the shop to the lower level. Go down, and enter a home decorating wonderland. As you reach the lower level you will find a number of small rooms, each decorated in splendid colour, with home furnishings, art work, gifts and furnishings. You will probably find that a different colour dominates each room. The displays are changed regularly.
It is akin to being on an adventure, as each space seems to take you into another world. After exploring the small rooms, step out into the large space and continue the journey of discovery with more home décor, furniture and items that will entice, inspire and excite you.
Outside, items for the garden or outdoors are displayed in a peaceful and uncluttered area, where you can sit, rest and contemplate. There are certainly some quirky garden items. Check out the metal emu (unless he's sold before you get there).
