The Flinder's Day re-enactment is on again. Come along and enjoy a great day.
Watch the parade which starts at the Rec. Club at 10.00am followed by the re-enactment of Matthew Flinders arrival on the beach in 1799.
You could even dress up the whole family in Colonial Costume and be part of the fun.
The day is combined with the regular Market Day and an Art Show which had some really fabulous things for sale last year. It is on from Friday night through to Sunday at the Recreation Club in Elizabeth Street.
Get into the feel of the day by learning a Colonial Dance, making a calling card or using an old slate. Join in the kids activities at the markets.
This year, there will also be a focus on the Quandamooka people and their involvement in Coochie. The fabulous Quandamooka Dancers will be performing and storytelling.
