Matt Tarrant is dishonest! He has worked hard at the art of being able to deliver a lie and in tricking us into believing that something that is, is in fact not. His profession is notoriously infamous for being untrustworthy. And we love it!

Matt Tarrant is a magician and illusionist.

His Honestly Dishonest show is an hour of absolutely spellbinding entertainment and magical tricks.

Your head will spin and your mind will just not be able to keep up with what you're seeing on stage. You'll be like me and walk out wondering how on earth he could do those things! There is no other explanation other than "magic happens".

His show is funny and interactive. Matt likes to engage with the audience and his goal is to give a child in the audience an opportunity to experience the magic of magic. My only criticism of the show would be his use of 4 letter swear words - I found it to be quite inappropriate and unnecessary and not at all suitable for the young ones that he specifically wants to attract to his shows. Parental guidance is also needed for the viewing of one of the videos on the big screens - graphic injuries are shown and could be upsetting for some.

That said, I found that Matt's interaction with the audience was seamless and done with confidence and great ease. The audience is even invited to use Google to try and bust his moves. It really is not your typical magician show - if there is such a thing. It's great entertainment and you really should grab a ticket to one of his shows.

The session I went to was a full house - my estimate was that there were 500 people there. Adelaide born, Matt has built a solid reputation as being a great magician and entertainer and the ticket sales are proving just how much we love what he does.

Matt Tarrant is back at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2017 following his award-winning and sell-out shows in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Let him trick you and leave you spellbound.

Honestly Dishonest can be seen at The Peacock and The Octagon theatres in Gluttony as well as in the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre in Mount Gambier.
