Matt Byrne's latest extravaganza, 'My Kitchen Fools' celebrates an amazing 20 years of Matt Byrne Media shows at Maxims Wine Bar!

This brand new production is part of the exciting 2017 Adelaide Fringe line-up and blows the lid off TV reality cooking shows!

Tickets are now on sale for the strictly limited season, from February 14th to March 19th 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

"I can't believe it's been 20 years since we started with Bouncers way back in 1998 at Maxims," Matt Byrne said.

"We've Barrackers, Pricks, Virgins, Chalkies, PIGS, WAGS,, Bogans, The Luv Boat and TV cookery is now in the pressure cooker with My Kitchen Fools!

"This show will turn up the heat on the ridiculous array of celebrity chefs and the many TV shows they serve us up."

"We used to have cooking shows, now we have cooking channels!"

'My Kitchen Fools' will be hosted and judged by Gordon Ramraid (Matt Byrne), Nigella's Awesome (Niki Martin), Rachel Rayban (Stefanie Rossi) and Jamie Bolivar (Marc Clement).

"But we also play the four teams who are fighting to win the right to run their own pop-up restaurant on The Parade," Byrne said.

"We have Greek grandmother and grandson team Yia Yia and Con Moussaka, Scottish BFs Colin Justin and Justin Colin, the super bitchy Farkin Sisters Jacinta and Placinta, and hippie collective Big Daddy Grassroots and his Nimbin niece Moonbeam".

"They are joined by other Celebrity Chefs, including Poo with an H, Les Akubra, Saggy Beer, Galiano Zumba and Hester Bloominheck."

Byrne said cooking shows gave people a chance for "15 minutes in the oven of fame."

"We get to know, love and hate these people who have limited cooking skills but loads of ambition," he says.

"We sing and dance and give the audience an interactive taste of everything from snakes, to oysters, pheasant plucking, creamy cantaloupes and zero gravity green cheese".

"It's a feast of comic ingredients but like every cooking reality show, it's not about the food!"

This interactive theatre productions is sure to be a lot of fun and will take place in the intimate venue of Maxim's Wine Bar at 194a The Parade, Norwood (upstairs opposite the Norwood Hall) from February 14th-17th & 19th, 22nd-24th & 26th, March 1st-3rd & 5th, 8th-10th & 12th and 15th-17th & 19th at 7:30 p.m.

We attended the opening show, the actors did a fantastic job and much of the content was very funny, I think the show went on a bit long- but you certainly get value for money. The first half could be shorter this would help with the discomfort re the seating issues!
The only problem for us was the venue- way too many people crammed in on quite uncomfortable chairs and many of us had trouble actually seeing the performers - then mostly it was shoulder level and above! A stage would have helped and reducing the chairs by about a third, it was hot and stuffy and the second half I just stood up by the bar area which was more comfortable for the vertically challenged and I got to see all of the performers. We enjoyed the night overall but my friends missed the second half as they sat in the lounge area and could not see it only hear them
