The Royal Shakespeare Company, Louise Withers, Michael Coppel and Michael Watt together with The Adelaide Festival Centre present "Matilda The Musical" running from May 21st until July 16th, based on the book of the same name written by Roald Dahl and featuring original songs by Tim Minchin. Winner of over 80 major international awards, including 16 for Best Musical, Matilda continues to delight audiences around the world.

Matilda is the story of a young girl who has a magical happy life in her imagination but in reality she is treated quite badly by her parents. They care more about their own lives than raising a child and Matilda realises life can be fun and beautiful when she meets her new school teacher Miss Honey. Miss Honey is kind and knows every child is special in their own way, but it's Matilda who has something extra special to share. Matilda has powers that she uses along with her vivid imagination to create fun and happy adventures.

It stars Marika Aubrey as Mrs Wormwood; Daniel Fredericksen as Mr Wormwood; Daniel Raso as Michael Wormwood; Lucy Maunder as Miss Honey; James Millar as Miss Trunchbull; Annabelle Cowlen Venice Harris & Eva Murawski as Matilda; Lily Burke, Caliese McEachern & Isla White as Amanda; Sophia Portes, Alice Lowther & Charlotte Smith as Lavender; Dominic Ambrose, Exodus Lale, Ethan Beer & Taye Grant as Bruce; and Jake Binns, ZacMcCulloch & Brady Burchill as Tommy.

The show will feature original songs When I Grow up, Bruce, Miracle, 'Revolting Children, Naughty and more. Don't miss your chance to see 'Matilda The Musical' live in Adelaide at the Adelaide Festival Theatre this May- July.
