Matilda Bay is just one of a number of picturesque locations along Perth’s Swan River. The Swan River system extends around 60 kilometres in total to ultimately reach the coast at Fremantle. Matilda Bay is situated near the University of Western Australia, close to the Perth CBD, and is home to the Royal Perth Yacht Club. Looking back towards the city through some of the yacht's masts at night gives a great perspective on its location.
