What do Tim Tams, paper aeroplanes, onesies and Nutella on a spoon straight from the jar all have in common? According to the latest production by Mates Genesis Theatre, they are all symptoms of Writer's Block.

Mates Theatre Genesis is a community based (amateur) theatre company operated entirely by volunteers who have a love of theatre and a desire to provide performance opportunities to the Redlands community.

Writer's Block is fun, contemporary theatre. Playwright Jane, the actress who scoffs all the Tim Tams, defeats "hitting the wall" by talking to and arguing with, the voices in her head who represent the two main characters in her writings.

Jane's play is centred on a German girl and British soldier sheltering in a shack during a World War 2 bombing raid and includes all the romance and drama lacking in her own life.

Written by Australian playwright and novelist Kellie Silver , Writer's Block is a storyline within a storyline. It is fast-paced and lighthearted with appropriate cheesiness and humour from Vivien Wood and Zach Price who play the characters in Jane's head. Tereska Hart and Andrew McFarlane are more than capable support.
