Masque is a boutique day spa situated on Victoria Avenue. From the moment you step inside the tranquil spa, you immediately feel like you have escaped suburbia. The decor within the centre is exquisite with touches of French provincial styling throughout. Jo Murtagh, the owner of the spa has thought of everything and has gone to great lengths to give her clients a truly superior experience.



Upon arriving I was shown around the centre by Merryn who performed my 75 - minute Mary Corh CatioVital facial. Masque looks deceivingly small from the shopfront but goes on for miles with various rooms for massage, facial and body treatments including clay and mud body wraps.

Once in the treatment room, Merryn went through the procedure in detail and gave me the opportunity to ask questions and bring up any concerns. Merryn's professionalism and knowledge were impressive.



Using advanced infusion technology the Mary Corh CatioVital facial deeply cleanses and rejuvenates your skin, "by infusing cells with energy and active ingredients that target specific skin concerns including dehydration, pigmentation, breakouts, sun damage and signs of ageing".

To begin with, Merryn deep cleaned my skin using Thermal Energy with a "Heating Mask" that felt like a sauna and helped to release toxins. The "Heating Mask" was like no other experience and felt incredible on my skin, not to mention extremely relaxing.

After the mask, active ingredients using molecular energy were infused into my skin, making it feel soft and supple. I've had many facials over the years but the results of this particular one were immediately obvious. The moment I turned up on my sister's door later that afternoon she said, "you've had a facial as your skin is glowing". It was a welcomed observation that made me fall in love with the Mary Cohr CatioVital Facial. Just after one session, my skin was noticeably clearer and glowing.
