How did I not know this place existed?

On a recent day out in the Perth Hills we were looking for a place to stop for a coffee and followed the signs to - and wow!

I'd seen the sign pointing in that direction but I'd never been there before.

The place is pretty huge compared to most places you stop at in the Kalamunda area and while it is large, it somehow manages to blend in to its surroundings and show off the natural beauty of the hills.

Walking up to the restaurant, we passed the big koi pond and impressive kids play area.

We found seats outside, where we could look out to the hills and take in the pretty views of the gardens.

The menu had us considering a second breakfast but we decided instead to try some of the yummy looking cakes and come back another time for something more substantial.

The cakes were delicious and the atmosphere outside on the terrace where we were sitting was lovely, everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves and their food.

If the cakes are anything to go by, their high tea must be pretty nice.

I guess another trip out this way will have to be planned.

would also be a great place for a wedding and according to their website they have a couple of different areas where couples can ties the knot- the French Gardens and Crab Apple Walk.
