Located in Norwood Mall on The Parade, Mascavado's Norwood branch allows visitors to enjoy their range of pastries and cakes. While pastries are the main focus, there are also sandwiches which can be heated upon request.

The pastry of the Finger Bun Croissant was crisp and light, and big enough to make eating it satisfying. The coconut frangipane filling had the right degree of sweetness and was complemented by strawberry jam. Befitting its name, the croissant was topped with pink icing and desiccated coconut. For those concerned about the sweetness of the icing, it was not too intense.

Compared to the Finger Bun Croissant, the texture of the Pistachio Croissant was slightly firmer. The filling had the distinctive flavour of pistachio and had small chunks of the nut to provide extra texture. A topping of the filling added extra crunch to the pastry. A light dusting of icing sugar completed the presentation.

For something a bit more familiar, there is the Almond Croissant. The consistency of the filling was not runny and had the degree of almond flavour that we expected. Like the Almond Croissants we have tried at other places, a topping of flaked almonds added extra crunch and highlighted the almond flavour. Similar to the Pistachio Croissant, it was lightly dusted with icing sugar.

While not located in a standalone building, it still had a comfortable feel with a good amount of seating space. Its location makes it convenient for visitors to Norwood who are looking for a quick bite to eat.
