A warm Saturday afternoon and the markets at the Moore Park Entertainment Quarter helped me discover . Located right above Fratelli Fresh on Bent Street, this Indian restaurant overlooks the green patch and the market.





For the market and moviegoers, Moore Park offers ample food choices. Cafes, pubs, takeaways, cake shops and licensed venues like . If the bright pink, yellow and blue hues from the street signs don't draw you in, let the aroma do its magic. On the day I visited, it wasn't very busy and my table service was quick and faultless.



I found a prime spot overlooking the Saturday food and flower market and was quite impressed with the view. Soon the food arrived - I got the Kadhai Paneer (cottage cheese and capsicum in tomato gravy) and Tandoori Roti. The rotis were hot and straight off the tandoor. The Kadhai paneer had some honest flavours and was a good portion for two people with plenty of pieces of paneer in it. I did ask for it to be spicy and the chef definitely attended to the request.



I noticed a dosa (crispy lentil crepe) come out of the kitchen for a neighbouring table and it did look pretty good. Served with a lentil soup and a spicy chutney, dosa makes a great all-day snack or meal.





has been around for only 7 months and is slowly making its waves in the food scene. With delightful interiors, a great location and some reasonably priced good choices on their menu, at Moore Park is one to watch out for. It's definitely worth a visit if you want good Indian food.
