After her 25 year international touring career Ireland's premier female phenomenal singer Mary Black is saying goodbye to her fans for the last time. For over a quarter – century, Mary has been a leading presence in Irish music. She has released 11 platinum certified albums which have resulted in numerous hits. She has performed on stage, television and in recording sessions with many internationally known artists such as Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris, The Chieftains, Emelda May and Joan Baez. Her unique music and love of singing transcends generations, as well as national and musical boundaries, as she has achieved world wide acclaim across Europe, Australia, Japan and the USA.

During her career Mary has won countless awards including the Irish Recorded Music's Best Female Artist award six times and in 2006 the Irish Poet's Lifetime Achievement Award.

The tour celebrates her latest album Down the Crooked Road, as well as her autobiography, Down the Crooked Road. Written in her openly honest style with much warmth and humour she offers insight into her life during her long career as a very gifted singer who has captured the hearts of millions of people around the world.
