At work, I recently heard about a little cafe that had opened up and that the rolls there were amazing. My co-worker had gone there with a group of friends and had raved about how good his Pork Katsu roll was. So, of course, I had to go along and try the place out for myself!
The place was a tiny little shop that I would have been completely lost looking for if I hadn't had the heads up from my co-worker on how to find it. Once I found the place, I excitedly ordered my roll and waited for the roll I had heard great things about. While waiting, I noticed that they also stock Tea Garden Co tea, which I really like and haven't seen stocked before.
I didn't have to wait very long before my roll was ready and I got to take my first look at it. It looked really good but tasted even better! The roll itself was soft and fresh, the pork was perfectly cooked with a crunchy coating, the curry mayo was delicious while the slaw added another element. I also liked the addition of potato chips served on the side, with the spices they used.
Pork Katsu Roll
Although the roll was simple in design, they had great ingredients and treated them properly. This made my roll extra delicious and I'll be returning soon to try out the tea and Spiced Cauli!
