Koalas, Kangaroos & Mini Golf at Maru Koala Park
The Maru Koala & Animal Park is located at 1650 Bass Highway, Grantville (on the way to Phillip Island). A full-day adventure, Maru is the perfect place to get up close and personal with some friendly native Australian animals and play a round or two of mini golf on the Pirate Pete Princess Caribbean Pirate Ship.

Multiple tourist and business award-winning complex, the Maru Koala & Animal Park is roughly 90 minutes from Melbourne heading toward Phillip Island, and has many special activities running during the school holidays including guided tours through the enclosures, sheep shearing demonstrations and hourly talks by the keepers.

Feed, pat and meet koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, parrots, emus, possums, snakes, wombats and many more.

Other programs available include "Keeper for a day", twilight tours, school groups, Birthday parties and weddings.

Maru Koala & Animal Park is open 9.30am to 5.30pm daily - slightly longer opening hours during daylight savings and school holidays.

Arrive early as the bistro serves breakfast from 9.30am to 12.30pm every day of the week.

Purchase an all day pass and stay till closing or head down to Phillip Island afterward and see the penguins come ashore at dusk.

The Maru Koala & Animal Park is 'wheel friendly' (Fine for prams, strollers, wheelchairs and walkers) with sealed paths, shade and rest areas throughout the park.

Bring a picnic and use the onsite BBQ facilities and outdoor dining area, or enjoy a bistro meal in the homestead bistro, complete with dinosaur playroom to keep the junior members occupied.

In addition to breakfast, the bistro has a 2-course Seniors Meal, Children's meals, gourmet pizzas and Devonshire tea. Special dietary needs are accommodated with dairy free, gluten free, Halal and vegetarian dishes.

Special occasion and group bookings also available in the bistro with menu options to suit every requirement.

Retail souvenirs available in the gift shop.

The all day pass looks like pretty good value. Especially with mini golf included.
