Marshmallow Playground might have a strange name, but it suits this fun playground that is designed to create a wonderland for kids. Tucked away in the Southern Adelaide Parklands this is a great place where kids of all ages can play.

The playground features two main playground. One is designed for older children, with multiple slides, bridges, climbing frames, and monkey bars. It is a great area for children to explore, and there is plenty of space for children to fun around on the bark chip. The other playground is great for younger children but all kids will still enjoy it. The smaller multi-level playground is easy for younger children to climb, and it surrounded by a sandpit that they can play in.

There are more fun activities at the playground. The bright colourful tunnels that wind their way through the park provide inspiration for young minds, and there are other swings and climbing frames scattered through the park. The entire area is designed to be a playful place for children to enjoy.

If you want to bring a picnic along to the playground then there are some nice place to sits. The large shady tree that sits in the centre of the park not only gives the park a magical feel, but it also makes a nice place to sit by. If you head just outside the playground you'll find the barbecue area of Pityarilla Park, where you'll find barbecues and picnic benches. There are also public toilets near the Eastern entrance of the park.

The playground is fenced off from the main road, so that kids are kept away from any cars. Adults are also not allowed to enter the park unless accompanied by a child, which maintains the park as a safe and fun place for children.

This playground is not one that children will quickly tire of. There is lots of room for plenty of kids to all play at once. Take the kids here if you're looking for a place that you can unwind and they can play after a day in town then Marshmallow Playground should be pretty high on your list.

If you're looking for more playgrounds in the area then check out the Adelaide City Council Website.
