This little hole in the wall place has done something very special. A pork roll. Luca has forever been telling me to go and try this place (knowing that I will love it). We both had a BBQ pork roll with everything and chilli plus a Coke for $5! (So Cheap!) It was insanely good and worth the wait. Everything is done with 100% efficiency and the flavours as you take your first bite are literally to die for.

There is the fresh bread which is crispy and crumbly, the char siew pork is tender and sweet, the pate (yes pate!) which they spread on the bread and then this is all contrasted to the sharp acidity of shallots and other vegetables. Plus the strong bite of Vietnamese chilli for those who are looking for a slightly more punchy lunch!

Now I know what you are thinking, why would I trek all the way to Marrickville for a pork roll? Well, considering that there are 4 other pork roll places, all within one block and this place is the only one with a line out the door for the entire day should say enough.

If you are heading there for lunch there is a phase in the area "pork roll hour", between midday and 2pm so expect a lengthy queue, but again it is worth the wait!

The place will soon enough be crawling with hipsters (or homeless), so get in there quickly to avoid having to queue with them!

Last time i had it,i got food poison.I work in the area(casimir college) and heard lots of people complained that they had toilet run everytime they have bread roll there.

It isn't the pork. It's the yeast and bread improver in banh might which is dangerous.

Most stores just put yesterday's bread into the oven to crisp it up again but it is full of bacteria.
