Marrickville is located 7km south west of Sydney and enjoys a diverse community which is reflected in the wide range of cuisines available in the area. If Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Nepalese, Portuguese, Lebanese, Turkish, Modern Australian, Greek and Japanese restaurants aren't enough to satisfy your culinary curiosity, Marrickville is also home to a few notable bakeries and coffee artisans. The Marrickville Festiva will bring together all of these diverse communities and cultures on Sunday 19 October for a colourful day of celebration.
As you can see there will be a feast of international cuisine to enjoy, live music and entertainment, stalls with local produce, handmade artisan works, as well as a host of free activities for the kids and family. Over 30,000 people are expected to attend, so join in this vibrant and colourful festival on Sunday as the streets come alive with food fun and festivities.
There will be several "zones" on the day including Main Stage, Break Stage, International Dance Floor, Kids Play Park and Rec Zone, with all having their own program of entertainment, details of which can be found on the website to help you plan your day.
