Husband and Wife Joint Exhibition

'Marriage of Minds' is the fourth joint exhibition presented by talented artists and husband and wife, Mike and Lucy Ward, who have been married for more than 50 years.

Held at The Richard Randall Art Studio, a heritage-listed studio at Brisbane Botanic Gardens from Tuesday 4 May to Friday 7 May 2021, this four-day exhibition and sale event is FREE to attend and all are welcome.

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm daily and visitors will be treated to a wonderful showcase of exquisite wood carvings by Mike and stunning paintings and prints by Lucy.

Mike and Lucy Ward are partners in every way and long-time residents of Kenmore Hills.

Lucy has exhibited in the Brisbane area for many years, both in joint and solo exhibitions, and her paintings are held in many private collections in Australia and North America.

In 2015, she had five of her paintings displayed in New York as part of an International Cultural Exchange. Her paintings are mainly oils, depicting still-life, landscapes, and portraits. She has also produced high-quality prints of some of her past works.

Mike held his first exhibition of wood carvings at the Graydon Gallery in New Farm in 2013, which was a sell-out. Known for his elegant platters, twig vases and animal carvings in varied Australian timbers, he has carried out several commissions for individual clients.

Due to downsizing from their current home and studio/workshop later in 2021, this will probably be their last joint exhibition in Brisbane, but you never know, they might just have a repeat performance!

So, take this opportunity to acquire one of their artworks. There will be something for everyone, from small inexpensive items to larger pieces and just in time for Mother's Day on Sunday 9 May 2021.

Support two talented local artists by visiting 'Marriage of Minds'. For a sneak peek at the artwork and wares, please visit:
