The beach has a line of impressive rocky cliffs stretching into the north end allowing picnic groups and rock climbing enthusiasts to enjoy a great outdoor activity. For skating enhusiasts Maroubra skate park located adjacent to the beach offers more than a square kilometer of skating area.
