I am a freelance writer from England living on the Coast in Australia. I one day dream to write major movie scripts in Hollywood!

Situated along the Sunshine Coast lies the pleasant town of Maroochydore. One of Maroochydore's hot spots is its long Beach which runs from the Maroochy river to Alexandra headland, approximately 3 kilometres. The sandy beach is never overpopulated, noisy or littered with rubbish. It is the perfect place to get time to yourself, to have that moment for thought.
A brilliant place to gather inspiration as you walk along with the warm yet cooling sea breeze. The beach has warm water, bearable to enter with just a swimsuit, even in the winter months. However be sure to bring along some sunscreen as most of the beach is highlighted by that strong Australian sun.
Due to the beach's ideal length, it is also a great place for that workout you promised yourself. The moist sand near the water is hard to stand on, so even if you are a heavy runner, sinking or losing your step is not a problem. As you walk along the beach you will encounter many friendly people some will surf, some will be walking their dogs and running and some may be sun bathing or reading a book, there is virtually an endless to do list for this beach.
Be entertained by the talents of the surfers and wake-boarders or swim in the warm waters. The upper area along the beach is home to the dry soft sand which is a fantastic place to sun bathe, read a book, write down your thoughts or rest if you just went for that run. If surfing is your game then you can hire surfboards from the Alexandra Surf Club or the Maroochydore Surf Club. The waves here are relatively nice and safe, there are lifeguards in front of both Surf Clubs who patrol the beach with their eagle eyes. Maroochydore Beach, a place for thoughts and fun.
