I am a freelance writer from England living on the Coast in Australia. I one day dream to write major movie scripts in Hollywood!

A great place to spend a day or two is on the Maroochydore River.
There are many things to see and do along its shores and on the river itself. A great idea is to have yourself a cold drink and try your hand at a bit of fishing. Fishing is a relaxing pastime, plus you may catch some big fish. There are two ways you can do this, one by standing on the shore of the river or by hiring a boat and sitting on the river waiting for that fish to bite. The river is a great opportunity to try some sports you enjoy or may not have tried before like kayaking to get your heart pumping.
Paddle board surfing seems to be a popular sport on the river merely because it is a good place for beginners to get their balance before heading out to the big waves. Along the river there are many shops and bars so you can stock up if you run out of that ice which is cooling your drinks.
Further up the river you can hire a boat, a good company is Swan Boat Hire located on Bradman Avenue. If you get sea sick and prefer to stay on dry land, then a walk riverside is advisable, walk along with an ice cream in your hand and take in the fantastic views.
Thanks to location and environment you will be sure to see some exciting wildlife, so this is a great area to visit if you are a keen bird watcher. Be sure to take a camera to snap the views and the wildlife. Maroochydore river, you won't be disappointed.
