Spend the Day at Markets in the Swan Valley
SWAN VALLEY OASIS MARKETS Regional or markets that are out of Perth are always a hit as they have items and stalls that are not always readily available at local Perth markets. Areas like the Swan Valley have many craft clubs and many people who make and produce things that are often different to the run of the mill markets in Perth. As well as all this, you can enjoy a wonderful day at one of our most interesting places so close to Perth!
Being in this area, when I go to markets here, I always make it coincide with either lunch or their delicious afternoon teas that you will find a plenty in the Swan Valley area. However next time I go, I will eat at one of the wineries where the market is on as the food in these wineries is mostly excellent. It is well worth planning your day to visit more wineries if this interests you, and also to drop-in to the many street stalls on your way home from shopping at these two markets. The SWAN VALLEY OASIS MARKETS are a great market not to miss.
They are held at the Ugly Duckling Wines estate, a boutique vineyard located in the heart of the beautiful Swan Valley. This vineyard has premium wines, all locally made and are something not to miss out if you are going to the markets.
You can eat one of the winery's mouth watering gourmet pies made by the Bindoon Bakehaus and using their wines in the steak, mushroom and Shiraz pie, as well as the chicken, leek and Chardonnay pie! Or be tempted by cheese, meat or their "Indulgence Platters".
You can eat at the Penny Gardens restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their chefs have over 30 years' experience between them and typical food served is Mediterranean and Australian cuisine and they have created a menu that the whole family will love.
