Event:
They just do it

Following the success of the previous two events, a day of Marketabilities will be held to celebrate International Day of People with Disability. This event highlights and recognises the contribution that people with a broad range of disabilities make to the community as artists and as employees of the Spine & Limb Foundation.

The Spine & Limb Foundation will be hosting Marketability Mark III on Monday, December 3 from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the grassed area in front of the ParaQuad Industries building. Moreover, the artists and employees will be front and centre as hosts for the day.

There will be no sausage sizzle this time, but the gas pizza oven will be on the go.

Marketability is an on-site event that will provide opportunities for people with disabilities to showcase their special achievements in various life roles including recreation and employment.

Four marquees adjacent to the Op Shop will house Arts and Crafts, delicious Christmas produce, speciality books and more.
  • Gas pizza oven on the go

  • A wellness marquee with six masseurs providing relaxing massage

  • Home-made chilli relish and fabulous Christmas mince pies

  • A marquee filled with gorgeous 'plant PODS' and other garden delights

  • Beautiful jewellery and a mini exhibition of work created on site by the artists

  • A great big Christmas raffle will also be drawn on the day

  • Home-made lemonade and much more

  • Entertainment from Blake Skinner

Marketability Mark III will consist of outdoor 'market' themed activities where artists with disabilities will present quality artworks, and people in supported employment will demonstrate work skills.

Marketability provides the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of people living with disabilities in positive lifestyle roles as they sell a range of arts and crafts, delicious produce and plants. Moreover, a perfect opportunity to pick up a really unique Christmas gift.

The event will provide opportunities for members of the general public to appreciate the capabilities of people living with disabilities and to gain insights through interactive engagement and in some instances, guided tours.

But wait there is more

Inside the auditorium entrance, the Cafe caters for all your coffee, snacks, pies, cakes, and soft drinks.

Across the grassed area, Book Bazaar is awaiting with a massive display of quality and unique used books at bargain prices.

Opportunity Knocks retro and pre-loved clothing store is also open with a huge selection of good quality furniture, white goods, household items, toys and bric-a-brac at bargain prices.

Just do it

Come and experience this special event while supporting the efforts of people who exemplify a 'just do it' approach, and benefit from the fruits of their work. Enjoy your day with free parking and convenient public toilets.

Look out for the sign

When arriving at 10 Selby Street, turn off into a little (privately owned, by Spine & Limb Foundation) road called Ellis Griffiths Avenue. The ParaQuad building is about 300m along Ellis Griffiths Avenue.
