Seduce your tongue with some liquid lovin' in the laneway
There is nothing worse than waking up to an empty pantry after a jet-lagging weekend trip back home. Okay, the pantry wasn't totally empty. I could've had crunched on some sweet, raw sugar particles or drink some protein-rich soy sauce. However, I chose not to due to my very particular taste buds.
Anyway, as a little piggy would have done I made a trip to the market (Queen Victoria, of course) to grab some groceries and felt that I needed to fill my stomach with at least something edible and would sustain me for part two of the dreaded activity of grocery shopping (if only the market had everything - why no milk?).
As this little piggy trotted down a lane, she caught sight of a cute, little coffee shop on Therry Street called 'Market Lane Coffee.' Just the thing she needed, a warm cup of invigorating, gold liquid.
I got my usual latte within record coffee making time and it was indeed, a cup of bliss. Slight creaminess of froth and crema, swirled with a loving heart, how cute. It was definitely a very enjoyable cup of soothing aromatic coffee. The first touch of this golden liquid on my tongue was like a rich, exotic dancer elegantly flowing through my mouth. Okay, again, I lied, not entirely a sweet seduction down my throat but it was a very good cup of coffee.
Not as good as Degraves, but, nonetheless still ticked all my boxes that day. They also use good quality organic milk which is always a 'moo-rific' bonus. Coffee beans are also available for purchase in store and other coffee related essentials such as milk jugs, starter kits or filters, to create your own Market Lane Coffee in your humble home on Mondays and Wednesdays, when the store is not opened.
I definitely recommend Market Lane Coffee for a decent cuppa. Especially, on market days where the shop is always filled with fellow 'marketeers', you better get in early! Coffee is not just an beverage; it's an art and passion. So, trot on by to Therry Street like a good little piggy.
