The Ipswich Turf Club has undergone a major transformation which is now incorporating more than horse racing, and you can be part of the action. General Manager Brett Kitching reported that the club has transformed the venue into something Ipswich and the greater region will be keen to support. "Running under the Ipswich Events and Entertainment Centre banner, the venue now offers more than just racing. From horse racing to wedding ceremonies and receptions, markets and conferences, family dining and sports bar entertainment, we have something for everyone," Mr Kitching said.

Jindi Markets
The launch of a brand new weekly market is on Sunday 26 July at Ipswich Turf Club at 219 Brisbane Road in Bundamba. The new market will run from 7.00 am to 12.00 noon every Sunday. Entry is only $1 and kids are free. The markets have a focus on sustainable fashion with stalls selling pre-loved clothes, shoes and accessories. But they are also adding arts and crafts from talented local makers and artisans, and more. I am happy to say that one of my favourite stalls will be there: "Addicted to Buttons". It promises to be a great morning out for the whole family. The kids haven't been forgotten as there are lots of rides, a jumping castle and other attractions for children. Sounds like there'll be something for the whole family.

Farmers' Market
In conjunction with the fashion market, a new weekly food and farmers markets will also start at the Turf Club on Sunday 26 July, with more than 60 indoor and outdoor stalls of fashion, food, farmers and fun.
Highlights:
  • fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers
  • butchers and bakers
  • food trucks with delicious food to kick off your day, such as waffles, bacon and egg rolls, gourmet sausage rolls and much more
  • sweet treats like fairy floss and snow cones
  • yummy iced tea.

  • Twilight Markets
Another exciting new outdoor market, hosted by the Aussie Fairs team, has also started. The Twilight Markets will be held at the Ipswich Turf Club every Thursday afternoon from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm. You can browse stalls with collectable treasures, arts and craft, plants and flowers, lifestyle and fashion, homewares, and fresh produce. They'll have the snack bar open to keep you fed and the new Barn Brew coffee nook is ready for business with delicious coffee and freshly roasted beans.

    The Handmade Expo Market
The Handmade Expo and Vintage Market is a monthly market supporting local makers, bakers, growers, artists, designers and creators, allowing them to showcase their wares. They are exclusively handmade/baked/grown along with a few quality crafting supplies for you to create your own 'Handmade experience'. This monthly market is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month. It is very family-friendly, and there is free entry and free parking. The market operates between 8.00 am and 1.00 pm.
