If you are after something handmade and unique this Christmas, and want to support the local economy, then head to the Susan Street Studios in Annandale for their Market Day, this Saturday. The market runs from 9am to 12 noon, so get in quick for lovely homewares and fabulous clothing. There will also be a range of baskets, flowers, fabric and other gifts.

The collection on offer comprises the work of 12 artisans including the ever popular Prints Charming . It includes hand printed fabrics, jewellery, t-shirts and other wonderful unique and quirky items. You're bound to find something to impress those hard to buy for relatives or friends.

There will even be information on workshops, should you be interested in learning a skill yourself.

So no need to face the crowded shopping centre carpark, make a quick stop to the Market Day and then have the afternoon off!
