This will be a fun annual event at Victoria Quay, Fremantle Port. It celebrates all things maritime and is a great day to enjoy the port, the people and the exhibitions.
There will be Maritime industry representatives to talk to, and this will happen on Saturday 27th October 2018. The Event will go from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. It will be held at the historic B Shed, which is on Peter Hughes Drive, and surrounding areas on Victoria Quay. This area takes advantage of the amazing Fremantle Harbour location.
You will be able to see the boats, displays and "big toys". The day will be packed with action for friends and the whole family.
Some of the displays and things you can see include:
Meet an Australian Border Force detector dog
See a new patrol vessel
Attend the naming ceremony of a new Svitzer tug at 10.00 am
Explore tugs
Explore an emergency response vessel
Watch as the Royal Australian Navy clearance dive team display, knot tying, weapons and full firefighting and survival equipment
Go for a free harbour ride
Children - dress up as a mermaid, pirate or fish and join in the dress-up parade
Have your face painted
Learn to use your smartphone as a microscope, and discover tiny sea creatures
See the historic and modern photographic display
Visit the WA Maritime Museum, by gold coin entry donation
Enjoy a full program of musical entertainment

Come see the new Museum in a container
View the fabulous car show in front of the Museum - presented by Classics, Customs and Hot Rods of Perth
You can also bring your old, damaged or obsolete life jackets along to Maritime Day - Marine Safety WA will help you upgrade to a modern style inflatable one. [b]Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation[/b]
Each year, the Leeuwin participates in the annual Maritime Day. Here you can visit their stall at the expo, drop into the shop to buy something, or, for a gold coin donation, you will be able to jump on-board the ship and participate in a tour!
Wow! What a line up of events and they are all FREE. You will be able to celebrate the maritime industry at our own Fremantle working port. You can also learn about maritime education opportunities, as well as some interesting careers that you could become involved in.

By Bus - Free Fremantle Cat Service at Red stop 1
By Car - paid parking is available in the Wilsons Car Park at the WA Maritime Museum, Victoria Quay Road
By Ferry - Captain Cook Cruises have a range of ferry services from Perth which stop at B-Shed ferry terminal
