A word-loving writer getting immersed in Adelaide's world of books.
Inspiration and Entertainment for Literary Lovers
This October, the City of Marion will celebrate the power of words.
With workshops, discussions, and author-meets, the City of Marion encourages locals to experience the inspiration, creativity, and possibilities of the literary world. It's a three-day "immersion of activities" for readers, writers, and anyone interested in the power of the written word.
There is a huge range of interesting events taking place during WordFest, including: Healing and Hoaxes: Narrative of Loss and Lies Inside Publishing & Pitch-to-Publisher Morning Tea Polishing and Publishing Your Manuscript Workshops Meet the authors
Not a writer yourself? There's also the awesome opportunity to listen to some great authors, browse and borrow brand new books before they make it to your local shelves, and visit a bookshop that will feature the best of the festival's authors and presenters.
WordFest starts with a tasty breakfast (complete with coffee, tea or juice!) on Friday the 25th of October, and runs until Sunday the 27th of October. This one's a not-to-be-missed first-time event for any Adelaide-ians interested in writing, reading, publishing, or the literary world.

The events, organised by The City of Marion, will all take place at the Cove Civic Centre. More information about WordFest can be found from your local Marion City Library or the City of Marion website.
