For the first time, Marion Art Group is proudly presenting a FREE exhibition and sale as part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA).
This special event, which will be held every Sunday in August, marks the group's 40th anniversary and features a stunning collection of over 300 original artworks on display.
The Marion Art Group formed in 1978, when founding member, Sue Schilling, provided an opportunity for local artists to meet, share and develop their skills and exhibit their work.
Currently Marion Art Group has over 60 passionate members and over the years has gained much standing in the art community, exhibiting very successfully in shopping centres, wineries and galleries.
As part of this year's SALA, 40 of the group's talanted artists are exhibiting their latest works - discover a truly diverse showcase of themes, mediums and styles. From stunning framed and unframed paintings to cute little original miniatures that would make great gift items.
There is certainly something for everyone and all artwork is priced to sell - so come along and add to your collection or purchase a feature piece for your home or office.
Marion Art Group's friendly artists will also be on hand demonstrating their skills and you can view a delightful display depicting the group's interesting 40 year history.
You can also go into the draw to win one of three beautiful paintings - simply purchase a raffle ticket. All proceeds go to Diabetes SA.
Conclude your visit with a yummy $5 devonshire tea!
The 'Marion Art Group Meets SALA' exhibition will delight all art lovers and collectors. Come along this Sunday and join in the fun and meet many of the Marion Art Group members. We look forward to seeing you there.
Upcoming events are Sunday 19th and Sunday 26th August, from 12 noon to 4 pm at Marino Community Hall, 44 Newland Avenue, Marino, South Australia, 5049. Entry is FREE.
