Marina Boardwalk Markets

Home > Brisbane > Markets
Published March 30th 2011

It's Saturday morning and you're on your way to the markets to pick up the usual items organic meat, homemade chutney, second hand books and a new boat. If this sounds like you, then set a course for the Marina Boardwalk Markets.

The Marina Boardwalk Markets take place every Saturday from 8.00am until 2.00pm at Meridien Marinas Horizon Shores (Cabbage Tree Point Road, Woongoolba). These markets are the same as any other weekly weekend market except for one important aspect they have a decidedly nautical twist.

On sale at the Boardwalk Markets is the usual market fare fresh food, artwork, homemade conserves and new and pre-loved clothing as well as a range of marine related items fresh seafood, bits and pieces for your aquatic vessel and even entire boats. There will also be food and drink stalls, children's entertainment and a sea-tow/VMR boat taking customers on a tour of the marina for a gold coin donation. Entry to the markets is free.

The boardwalk provides a large car park for cars and a courtesy wharf for small boats (contact the marina if you would like to dock a larger vessel).

Horizon Shores is that largest of the marine villages at Meridien Marinas. If you wish to stay for the day, facilities here include a restaurant, wireless internet access, boat hire and a bait shop.
