Marigold's fame and easy Haymarket location gives it a wide clientele. It is known for offering a wide selection of Yum Cha, more traditionally known as Dim Sum.

Up the elevator to level 5, we are confronted by a long line of hungry people waiting to be seated. We are quickly seated with the table set with soy sauce and green tea ready to go. A trolley soon arrived with prawn and vegetarian dumplings and pork buns.

Just like when we were kid's, carts started flying around and you are offered all the yum cha dishes you can think off. You never have to wait too long for a trolley full of goodies, with so much to choose from.

We took our little boy for his first Yum Cha experience. He was very excited by the busy schedule and more than satisfied with salt and pepper squid, pork buns and mango pancake.

Marigold has been operating for 36 years. The food is well presented and has all the Yum Cha / Dim Sum classics. Moreover, produce and seafood are fresh.

If in the mood for some Chinese an a la carte meal order or something 'from the tank' — rock lobster, Duck or Mud Crab — the set menu will also speak for itself.

Just a quick note, mango pancakes go quickly and arrive early to avoid the 12.30pm rush.
