Have been to Marigold Citymark at Sydney's Chinatown on a number of occasions when I have had to come to Sydney on business. Marigold Citymark was chosen as the Regal on Sussex Street is now closed, and I believe that both the Marigold and the Regal are owned by the same people.

Come for lunch despite the crowds on Chinese New Year. The experience is amazing, and there is a buzz of parties everywhere. You quickly learn to say 'Happy New Year' in Chinese to the staff, to the people you are sitting with as well as to other customers. The dragon provides for great entertainment in the full green and white costume.

Now to the food, the real reason why you would want to come to yum cha. Anything fried as well as the chicken feet I steer clear of; however the dumplings are just exceptional. I love the prawn and spinach varieties from this restaurant with the hot dark red sauce with a chilli paste kind of taste. Magnificent. Also their mango pancakes for dessert are refreshing.

I will keep coming back here when I can with a group of people.
