Tantrum-proof toddler clothing

It has been said that the Gold Coast is home to untold international talent, and today we discovered an Italian designer, Maria Concetta, on the Gold Coast, at the Broadbeach Markets.

Maria Concetta Designs has been a lifetime in the making as Maria began her designing career in Melbourne, where at 18 years old she was designing clothes for a major fashion house with her talented mother as her seamstress, and her clothes featured in major stores. Maria said that one of the defining moments in her career was the first time that she walked past a shop window and saw her own clothing designs on display.

Now based in the Gold Coast, Maria Concetta designs upmarket children's clothing, specialising in fun and adventurous yet practical designs for toddlers and young children.

Maria has 4 grandchildren and explained that her current muse for her designs is her 3 year old grand-daughter Layla, which means that her designs are fun yet practical.

We loved that her dresses have the unique feature of button-on shoulders - meaning that you can easily dress and undress toddlers by slipping the dress over their heads and buttoning them up easily (even when they are sleeping or kicking and screaming!).

And as our regular readers will know, we are always on the look-out for exceptional customer service, and this is definitely the case here! Today Maria Concetta Designs were handing out free lollies and chocolates for Father's Day, and multiple staff were happy to assist customers.

Location

Maria Concetta Designs at Broadbeach markets has ample parking, in and around Broadbeach park and also in the Oasis shopping centre.

Facilities

There are readily accessible toilet facilities at the Broadbeach markets, it is right on the beach front, and located next to the Oasis Shopping Centre and the all-abilities playground, which is one of the best playgrounds on the Gold Coast.

The Broadbeach Markets are open on the first and last Sunday of each month, and Maria Concetta Designs also have a Facebook page and website store.
