City of Playford and Jally Entertainment presents Margaret Fulton The Musical at The Shedley Theatre from May 6th - May 8th 2021. Directed by Aarne Neeme with Musical Direction by Meg Kiddle, it is based on the best-selling autobiography I Sang for My Supper: Memories of a Food Writer , with lyrics by Doug MacLeod. Margaret Fulton The Musical is a biography of a woman who has been writing about food and cookery for more than 40 years, inspiring generations of women to fall in love with cooking.

She began her career as a cooking teacher in 1947 and became a food editor for Women's Day magazine in the 1960s but it was her first book that made her stand out. Now she is the author of more than 25 cookbooks and has sold millions of copies. Fulton is often referred to as Australia's original domestic goddess, becoming famous for inspiring housewives to look further than the staple of meat and three vegetables and to be creative in the kitchen. This delightful musical romp follows her journey from humble beginnings to super-stardom.
