Tucked in the lovely streets of South Melbourne is a shop that holds treasure beyond what lies in our Australian National Treasury with one small difference. You can buy, buy, buy all these special treasures.

And the best treat of all in this wonderful shop is the books. There are hundreds of books about Melbourne and Australia which cater for ages 1 to 100. And not just any books, but books by local Australians and especially by Maree Coote, who is a three-time gold medal winner for her inspiration books. This includes her most recent win the coveted 2015 New York IPPY Gold for Best Regional Non-Fiction.

That's right! Maree's book, named The Melbourne Book, won international gold.

This book is also known as the 'Bible of Melbourne' and has taken New York by storm and put Melbourne on their map of fantastic places to visit. And travellers get the added treat of visiting the delicious store - Melbournestyle.

Maree Coote is a graphic designer by trade, professional photographer, and prolific book writer and designer as well.

And the art in her books looks even better on your wall. She has released many stunning artworks over the years including famous artists in the Alphabet City Melbourne. And she has been back at the design board with a fantastic new concept, Erections. These works of art highlight the architecture all across Melbourne and once again with the famous Maree twist. Intrigued, I certainly am. Can't wait to take it in.

And you have the chance to see the launch of this exhibition at Melbournestyle at 155 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne, VIC 3205.

The Exhibition is called Erections: Melbourne Building Men and features Melbourne's favourite edifices. It is being held at the Melbournestyle Gallery (Upstairs).

And the exciting launch is on Tuesday 11th December, 2018 from 6 pm —8 pm, where you can meet and greet the artist, Maree, herself.

But if you cannot make the launch and want that special Christmas gift for family, lucky for us, the exhibition continues until the 31st of January 2019.
