More than just a parade - party to you drop
Did you know this is more than just a colourful parade? There is in fact 3 weeks of events and experiences that combine colour, creativity and outrageousness in the world's largest celebration of diversity.

It all starts with Fair Day in Victoria Park, Camperdown on 9th Feb. Picnic in the park from 10.00am to 7.30pm and enjoy a full day of live performances, fabulous food and stalls, activities for children, roaming drag talent, a Fitness First zone and Doggywood, a pet pageant. After the sun goes down, the partying moves to Newtown where 2 hotels, Newtown Hotel and the Bank Hotel, open their doors providing DJ's and entertainment.

On 22nd Feb there is the Harbour Party with the Opera House and Sydney harbour as a backdrop where you can bump, grind, and shake your booty on the open air dance floor. When you're too pooped to dance take in a cocktail at one of the bars and chill-out zones.

Another great party is the Pool Party at the Ivy Pool Club Bar on 24th Feb with a retro 50's St Tropez vibe to it. This one's for grown-ups with private cabanas, palm trees, cocktails, poolside DJ's and sexy lifeguards.

And let's not forget the spectacular Parade which is on 1st Mar this year with its colourful floats and outrageous costumes as it makes its way down Oxford and Flinders Streets to Moore Park. Crowds line the streets but to secure a great view you can buy a ticket to the new Flinders Seats or The Diamond Club. When the parade ends their is the after-party which is a ticketed event where you can dance the night away and maybe mingle with some celebrities. If you're a volunteer, you may just get a free ticket to the party.

This huge event concludes on 2nd Mar with The Laneway which is the official closing party. It takes place at the Flinders Hotel and the courtyard of the Beresford as well as the laneways and spaces that connect these venues.
