Adelaide Festival Centre presents Marcia Hines: The Gospel According to Marcia playing at Her Majesty's Theatre as part of The Adelaide Cabaret Festival on June 17th 7:30pm, for one night only. Hines has always loved music from a young age spending time accompanying her blind aunt – Florence James who led the church choir. It was her aunt's guidance that led to her debut in musical theatre at 16 starring in Hair, before going on to her role as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. She has had an amazing career in the spotlight appearing on Countdown and judging Australian Idol.

Last in Adelaide in 2016 with her disco-inspired show 'Velvet', she's back with 'The Gospel according to Marcia', musically directed by Joe Accaria and accompanied by Charmaine Jones & The Gospo Collective, including Chris Luder, Ron Haryanto, Tom Oliver, and Neda Rahmani, all on vocals and Stef Furnari on percussion. This show will celebrate some of the best gospel musical songs, which could include 'He's Got The Whole World In His Hands', 'Move On Up A Little Higher', 'Down By The Riverside', 'It Won't Be Long', 'Go Get It' and 'Let it Go', just to name a few favourites.
