This historic building was designed by architect Willam McMinn, and he was in fact responsible for many of the state's most iconic buildings. is a place we would visit when I was a child. We would always go on Sunday drives and this was one of our favourite destinations. It is especially great for the kids because it really is like stepping back in time and imagining what life was like in those old places.

was the former Summer residence of South Australia's Governor and was neglected for many years until rescued by the new owners.

Among the gardens of this beautiful place you will even come across quaint little headstones dedicated to the memory of the resident's beloved pets. Make sure you bring your camera as you are sure to capture some very interesting sights indeed.

Not only can you get a feeling of what life used to be like in this former Summer residence, you realise that for many of the early settlers in South Australia it would have been a challenge. The building is being restored to it's former glory and the owners host various open and picnic days.
