Set in a terrace house, there are three spaces to find calm – a spot of sunshine on the front porch, on the ground floor mingling with passing diners, or upstairs in a zen area ideal for sipping Chai Lattes and indulging in a Mango La La slice. There are books for casual reading, as well as ones you can buy to learn about healthy living, yoga, and meditation.
You will be pleasantly surprised with selections including Tofu Sausage Roll, Moussaka, Pleasecake (cheese cake without the cheese), Mango Lassi, and caffeine free Golden Latte.
All mains are $10 or under, and combo deals $13. Curries and salads can be ordered as a half-serve; perfect for a light lunch or when you want to save room for a date muffin or snickers bar slice from the sweets menu.
I chose the Thai Green Curry – full of vegetable goodness: broccoli, carrots, potatoes, and capsicum, in a non-spicy, light coconut milk, broth. I enjoyed upstairs while gazing outside the window at lush greenery.
On my way out, I couldn't resist the temptation of the gluten free slices - snickers, raw blueberry, mango, or chocolate mousse Pleasecake. If only they offered a tasting platter! Being 38°c outside, I opted for the Mango La La to go and was delighted to note the use of biodegradable takeaway cutlery and packaging. The Mango La La — made with coconut cream, pineapple juice and mango pulp — tastes even better than it looks. It has a light and fluffy consistency, flavours of mango and coconut, and the right amount of sweetness with no added sugar.

The staff are incredibly polite and patient (must be all that meditation and clean eating), and will happily go through ingredients in the dishes, and assure you again, "Yes, it's 100% vegan, no dairy used".
