Mansfield Park Hotel on Grand Junction Road in Mansfield Park offers not only dishes that can be expected to be seen at pubs but also a few Indian-style dishes as well. Aside from the dishes on their main menu, they also have various specials to offer a bit of variety.
One of the specials offered during our visit, the Lamb Loin Chops were juicy with the Italian crust providing a contrast with its crispiness. It also included a bit of Parmesan cheese to add a bit of saltiness. Accompanying the lamb chops were rosemary roasted tomatoes cooked just right, and a creamy cauliflower and broccoli bake. While delicious enough on its own, you can enjoy it with the gravy provided for more flavour.

Their Chicken Schnitzel was a generous portion, with crispy crumb coating setting off the succulent flesh wonderfully. The chips served with the schnitzel were fried to golden brown and the house salad added an element of freshness. The pepper sauce we chose for the dish was
one of the best we have tasted, with the degree of peppery flavour we wanted and not too watery.

The Roast of the Day during our visit was pork, which was cooked just right, but we found the crackling a bit tough. The roasted vegetables still retained a bit of bite and the gravy had the savoury flavour we desired. Completing the dish was a Yorkshire pudding which had a light and fluffy texture and a lovely crisp exterior.

Great as a snack or as a side dish to your main meals, their Seasoned Potato Wedges were of a generous size and had a wonderful fluffy interior. As expected, the potato wedges came with sweet chilli sauce and sour cream as dipping sauces. The sweet chilli sauce notably had a fair amount of spicy kick.

Various deals are offered on certain days of the week, such as $13.90 Angus Rump Steak on Wednesdays and $10.90 Curry on Thursdays, to make eating there more affordable. The decor of the bistro gave it a relaxed feel, with the carpark at the back of the hotel offering convenient off-street parking. We used Entertainment Book to enjoy 25% off our total bill.
