Event:
What do Disney, Bonnie Doon and a girl with flaxen hair have in common? Go along to Manningham Concert Band's upcoming performance and find out. Entitled 'Winter Favourites', the concert will be held on Sunday June 19, 3pm at the Ted Ajani Centre (284 Thomspons Road, Lower Templestowe).

Tickets are available at the door and cost $8, with free admission for children under 12. Refreshments are included. The 'Winter Favourites' in the programme include 'Disney at the Oscars', 'Vaudeville Spectacular,' 'Ye Banks and Braes O'Bonnie Doon' by Australian composer Percy Grainger, and French impressionist Claude Debussy's 'The Girl with the Flaxen Hair.'

The Manningham Concert Band is a community band supported by the Manningham City Council with Andrew van Gemert as their Musical Director. Other concerts scheduled for 2011 will be held on August 20 ('Gala Concert'), November 6 ('Spring Favourites') and December 16 (Manningham Carols by Candlelight). Contact the band if you would like to know more about the band, join their mailing list, or if you prefer to be on stage rather than in the audience, perhaps join the band.
