Did you know?

Friends of the Community Inc. (FOC), is a not for profit organisation founded in October 2006, by Serena Anderson and Norm Dale. Based on a vision of investing in our future by building a healthy, sustainable and enterprising community, and an obvious lack of funding in aged, disabled, disadvantaged and special needs children.

Though not affiliated with any religious group, they are prepared to assist all those in need, regardless of religion, colour and ethnic background. Staffed entirely by volunteers, they run a small food business with all profits being returned to the needy community.

From their inception they have gifted funds, white goods, food parcels, donated funds to many organisations to benefit children, cancer, healthy lifestyles and different modalities for pain management to name a few.

FOC has paid for training expenses, enabling opportunity for employment, sports equipment, fees for attendances and scholarships for years 11 and 12 for further studies. Moreover, assisted St Patricks Community Support Centre (St Pats) with food items, and donated an industrial stove to cook meals for homeless consumers.

This is a friendly group of individuals with a strong sense of community, who enjoy what they do, as one big family. They are all trained in food safety and some with first aid training, taking pride in their cleanliness, quality of food and customer service provided. Holding a Charity License, FOC, welcomes any donations for their work in supplying a range of services to the community .

Keep up to date on the FOC Facebook page .
