Picnic by a natural lake
Manning Lake is a small natural lake located in Hamilton Hill.

It is very popular as a family picnic spot and has a paved walking path around the six hectare lake.

A large playground attracts the children whilst barbeques keeps dads busy. Small children can cycle around the lake with ease.

One of the jewels for City of Cockburn, the reserve around the lake also protects the nearby bushland and has the Azalia Ley homestead museum opposite the playground area.

There is significant flora and fauna within the lake and surrounding areas. It is part of the Beelier Regional Park which protects a chain of wetlands along the southern suburbs coastline.

Also nearby is the Alan Thomas Music Shell which is used for musical performances.

The City of Cockburn puts on a number of community events here, including a spring fair and annual Teddy Bear's Picnic.

Walked to Manning Park today and went to the view point. A very interesting reserve. Lots of play areas for the kiddies. Must go. Ack and visit the homestead.
