The first section of Manning Esplanade Park is the playground. This has shade cloth installed over most of it, and play equipment set in a large sandpit, although the swings are installed over a soft-fall surface.

The Santaguiliana Way pedestrian and bike path link this playground to other parks in Cleveland and Thornlands, as well as to the other sections of this park. A short walk to the south will take you to the Manning Esplanade Dog Park, which has a large grassy field for family and community activities just beyond it.
The fenced, off-leash dog park has a range of agility equipment, water for dogs and humans, and a large area for dogs to run and play on. The Redland City Council also provides two dispensers with poop bags and a bin near the entrance/exit. The entrance and exit has two gates with a safety area between them if any dogs need to be separated.
There is a range of agility equipment here, providing an opportunity for dogs and their humans to interact and bond over a fun activity
This very large fenced area is one of my dog's favourite dog parks in Redland City. For the humans, there are a number of benches installed around the dog park, as well as a shaded structure with three more benches beneath it.
Manning Esplanade Park is a wonderful family and community resource that caters for everyone. Being right on the edge of Moreton Bay, there are beautiful birds in the trees surrounding it, but at times there may also be mosquitos. Sunscreen, insect repellant, and hats are great additions to any trip here.
