Get pumped and ready for fun
It's the end of summer and what better way to say goodbye to the season than with a fun event on the beach. For this charity race at Manly, all you need is a cool inflatable and a crazy outfit. Crazy personalities are also welcome.
Participants will paddle a one kilometre course from Manly Surf Life Saving Club to the beach in front of The Corso. Acts of piracy are encouraged along with lack of coordination. So get that pool pony or huge thong out and ride the waves for a good cause in Tour De Cure and Camp Quality.
Floaters can register online or from 9am on the day. Tickets are $45 per person, preceding the event, and $50 on the day. Minimum age is 12 and children must be accompanied by an adult.
A vessel pumping area just north of the surf club is at your disposal. So get those muscles working 'cause the excitement kicks off at 10.30am. The only rule around floating devices is that they must be $70 and under per group, meaning any more expensive and it's too big.
Get colourful and creative to be in the running for some great prizes. A sausage sizzle will be held at The Steyne hotel afterwards. Plenty of activity in the area to enjoy as The Australian Open of Surfing will also have begun.
Savour the sun safely with sunscreen and help children and their families living with cancer.
