Theres nothing like holidays and time off at the beach. The weather this January has been superb and a visit to is not to be missed.

Manly caters to tourists all year around and especially over the summer holidays. There are superb views, the main beach, a wander around to Shelley Beach or up to North Steyne. A stroll through the markets or a bite to eat at one of the wonderful food places that are filled with many. Theres kayaking, paddle boarding, boats and swimming from the East Esplanade also.

You might like to hire a bike for the day or take a surf lesson.

Not only is there water and sun, but there are lifeguards aplenty. The lifeguards in yellow and red are volunteers who give their time freely. They do a fantastic job and make sure that swimmers of all ages are safe and have an enjoyable time.

The beach is filled with people sunbathing those braving the waves to swim, body board or surf. There are some very fit souls playing beach volleyball and many children intent on making sandcastles and amazing sand structures that fill in more than an hour of creative time.

Manly beach is 1.5km long. On a normal summers weekend there might be over 10,000 people on or around the main beach. Yet the experience is one of total relaxation and laid back contentment.
