Manly Beach is located on Sydney's northern beaches and besides Bondi Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Sydney.

The beach stretches from Queenscliff to South Steyne. There are three surf clubs and the beach is generally patrolled in all 3 locations South Steye, North Steye and Queenscliff. Each surf club offers visitors showers, change rooms and toilets.

There are several playgrounds along the promenade and children can skate, ride their scooters or bikes.

Each year thousands of tourists come to visit Manly, not only to enjoy the sun but for its many events including Manly Surf Life Saving Carnival in January, The Sydney Morning Herald Sun Run, Manly Cole Classic and Australian Open of Surfing in February, Soft Sand Classic and Manly Food and Wine Festival in June, as well as Manly Jazz Festival in October.

Manly has several car parks and most of them offer 2 hours of free parking:
Whistler Car Park (24 hours), Whistler Street
The Peninsula Car Park (7am to 12.30am), Wentworth Street
Manly National Car Park (24 hours), Central Avenue
Pacific Waves Car Park (7am to 12.30am), Central Avenue
Quest Grande Esplanade 7am 12.00pm (fees apply)

The Corso, which stretches from the ferry wharf on Sydney Harbour to the Pacific Ocean side of the Manly peninsula offers an incredible array of Cafes, Restaurants, Ice-Cream Parlours and Take-away shops, not to mention plenty of surf and clothing stores.

If you are visiting Manly for the first time, you may wish to take advantage of guided tours offered by "Life's An Adventure", hire a kayak from "Manly Kayaks" or get on a bike and explore Manly and its surrounding areas. Bikes can be hired from "Manly Bike Tours".

Other popular Manly attractions include Oceanworld Manly and Manly Waterworks.

From mid May through to November Manly Whale Watching offer the ultimate location and vessels to embark on a whale watching adventure.

Manly offers all types of accommodation from international hotels, fully serviced apartments, motels, guest houses to backpacker establishments.
